LIVING INSURANCE & TPD

In the past, a serious medical condition often led to a swift death. However, with the pace of modern medical technology, this is no longer the case. It is very likely you will continue to live a long life after suffering a major medical problem.
Some Facts:
(1) 57% of heart attack patients will be alive one year later

(2) 78% of stroke patients will be alive one year later

(2) 60% of cancer sufferers will survive at least five years from diagnosis

2) Morbidity and Hospital Data 1993
3) Australia Institute of Health and Welfare 2001

Unfortunately, a critical condition very often occurs without warning, requiring you to make dramatic changes to your life and the lives of people around you.
The kind of life-changing events we're looking at can be sudden and will most certainly have an impact on the way you live. Although it's hard to say exactly what costs you might face or exactly how much they'd be, it's important to consider the financial "what-ifs".
