HEALTH INSURANCE
Health Insurance is really a "must
have" these days. Why? To eliminate the need for public hospital
care and waiting lists!
Often people will say: "The public system will support me"; and
it will if you suddenly collapse with something that must be
treated immediately to save your life. But if it can wait, you
will!!
Recovering from a major health problem requires access to
quality treatment. Health insurance is all about choice and
security - being able to get the treatment you need, at a time
and place of your choice. If you have health insurance you won't
need to worry about the New Zealand public health system, its
waiting lists, and its delays and access problems. Instead,
you'll be able to have private treatment and focus on what's
really important - getting better.
The types of Health Insurance covers available:
Major Medical: A health insurance product that
provides cover to a high limit for most medical and surgical
expenses incurred in hospital. There are various levels of
excess available on the policy, which will help reduce premiums.
Specialists and Tests: This product is provided
in addition to Major Medical insurance. It usually covers any
outpatient specialist consultations and diagnostic tests.
Specialist visits and diagnostic tests can very often be
expensive.
Comprehensive Insurance: This covers, among
other things, GP visits, prescription costs and complementary
medicals.

options from some of the leading health insurance providers in
New Zealand; for example:
●A hospital cover option that covers all pre-existing
conditions after three years [except
cardiac]. If you or a family member already have an existing
medical condition, this is an extremely important concession for
you to consider.
●However, if you are fortunate not to have a medical
condition we are able to offer a full range of medical
providers.
Not all of these options are available to the general
public. Considering the number of people on the "elective
surgery" waiting list in New Zealand, we recommend you seriously
consider taking Health Cover for you and your family.
